Risktec MSc in Risk and Safety Management approved by IChemE
(Jun-16) Risktec has announced that its MSc in Risk and Safety Management (IChemE Process Safety Pathway) is approved by IChemE as meeting the knowledge and understanding requirements for IChemE's Professional Process Safety Engineer qualification.
This means that students achieving an MSc on Risktec's next programme, starting on 1st October 2016, will be able to apply for registration as a Professional Process Safety Engineer (PPSE) with just a small amount of additional evidence of their professional competence. The PPSE registration is recognised and positioned at the same professional level as Chartered Engineer and Professional Engineer.
Training and Education Director Steve Lewis commented, "We are delighted to announce the approval of our MSc programme by IChemE. This reflects the quality of our education programmes and the unique nature of our partnership with LJMU, enabling students to benefit from the best of both worlds - an academic qualification awarded by a leading UK university, developed and delivered by industry practitioners."
